If you are wanting to save a little money on your wedding you could start with creating your own simple centerpieces for your reception tables. This is a simple centerpiece that you can do your self at a very low cost. Anyone could make this simple centerpiece, so get some friends and have them help you make these easy centerpieces for your wedding reception tables. They will look so professional and elegant that your guests will think they were professionally make. Here is how to get started.
THINGS YOU WILL NEED: Use a round vase that is pretty large, about 12 to 14 inches tall. The vase should get larger as it goes up and also have rim that flairs out at the top. You could also use a large vase that has a fluted rim around the top edge. Next, you will need to get some rock ice chips. These are clear and look like ice, but are not. You will also need 4 short glasses, about 4 inches tall, per centerpiece setting. You will need two white floating candles per centerpiece. Then you will need some of the flowers that will be used in your wedding. Simply get extra flowers from your florist that matches your wedding flowers.
PUT YOUR CENTERPIECES TOGETHER: To start making your centerpieces follow these simple steps. Cut the stems completely off of the flowers, leaving only the blooming buds. You should do this the day of the reception so that the flowers do not start wilting or looking bad by the time of the reception. It may be easier to use artificial flower buds also.
Fill the large flair vase up only half way with the rock ice chips. Arrange the flowers buds on top of the rock ice chips facing outward. Simply do one layer of the flower buds on top of the rock ice chips, that’s all you need.
Next, you will need to fill two of the short glasses with water about half way up and place a floating candle in each of them. Then fill the other two short glasses up half way with the rock ice chips and place just one flower bud on top of the ice chips. To display the centerpiece setting, simply set the large flair vase in the center, then the two short glasses with candles in them opposite from each other on each side of the vase and the two short glasses with the ice chips and flower buds in them opposite from each other as well. Make sure to leave the same amount of space between each of the four short glasses.
That’s all for your beautiful and elegant wedding reception table centerpieces.
